I think what’s frustrating is some of these bugs are apparent from the moment you turn on the game. They’re not “15 years into my Dynasty, Tulane is a powerhouse” like ok, that’s a weird quirk but not a game breaker.
The latest patch broke the scoreboard in Dynasty mdoe. Its an easily replicated bug that shows up as soon as you run a single play.
Its impossible for them to have missed it. But they released the patch anyway. It is a bit insulting, especially after spending 70 to 100 dollars on the game.
Also, the game is missing core features from previous versions of the game (and exist in Madden, which uses the same engine). A modern football game with no mass subs, no formation subs? The game is unfinished.
Many feel disappointed that the game's launch hasn't met expectations. There's a sense of unmet promises, coupled with a lack of communication that leaves players feeling unheard.
While other companies experience issues too, they typically offer avenues for direct customer support, which seems to be lacking here. The current bug reporting system feels inefficient, and the absence of acknowledgment further exacerbates the frustration.
It's understandable that some bugs might slip through even rigorous testing, especially with the complexities of a large-scale game launch. However, encountering major issues from the outset raises concerns about the thoroughness of the pre-release process. This, combined with the silence surrounding these issues, understandably leads to dissatisfaction.
Players are seeking reassurance and a sense that their concerns are valued. More proactive communication and a clear commitment to addressing the problems would go a long way in rebuilding trust and demonstrating a genuine dedication to the product and its community.
