General Attitude on the Board
There seems to be a persuasive attitude of entitlement on the board. While I understand there are certain aspects of the game that are flawed or not to YOUR expectations, the approach of demanding,...
I agree with you that some of the attacks on here are completely unwarranted and unproductive. I try my best to be calm, factual and objective.
However, defending EA by comparing them to other tech companies isn't exactly fair. Many of the bugs found in Dynasty mode are found frequently and easily. Others are bugs that have been in Madden for years that were never addressed and when we were told this game was built from the ground up and isn't Madden. This suggests that Dynasty was not really tested whatsoever and I think that is where people are extremely frustrated. If they were hidden bugs that rarely occur and only occur under certain circumstances, I can completely understand how that could be missed and I would not be too upset. But having a roughing the kicker on a punt return at least once per game, playing one season and seeing the rankings, awards, and CFB selections make absolutely no logical sense, literally everyone having issues customizing schedules at dynasty creation when they have more than a handful of users, etc......These are all things that should have been EASILY uncovered if tested and patched before it made it to the public. Offering an early release of the game at a price increase and then having half the features inaccessible due to server issues until the game officially released is also not a great look. Heck, the game has been out a month now and I'm still having to focus more on not allowing my players to rough the kicker than actually returning the kick and I still can't customize schedules in online dynasties.
There is actually a separate tab that allows you to disable roughing/running into the kicker. I wonder if they knew it was an issue and rather than fix it they tossed in the tab?
@sdzald I'm not sure. But surely there is a middle ground between having to turn it off completely and having it happen at least once per game
YES, there should NOT be a need for the tab in the first place! Sadly, it is just another item to add to the list of so MANY problems with this game. Oh wait, I'm sorry I'm being entitled.
Hi all,
Just wanted to say a few things here!
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I wanted to start off by saying thanks again to everyone for sharing your thoughts with us about the game. We see your feedback, your ideas, and your bug reports. We are still here working on passing things along to the team.
I agree that it's totally fair to call out things about the game that could be better. It's also fair to point out when something just isn't working right. We lean on these forums heavily to gather info for testing things and fixing issues. We truly do appreciate the reports that we see here, because it helps us put together a more complete picture of what might be happening. It's also the same for feedback. If people aren't happy with something, we can use your posts to get a better idea of why and how it could be improved.
I also agree that it's fair to want more communication from us. We don't always have an immediate answer, but we try our best to at least let you know when we're looking into something. Sometimes things can take a while to fix. I know that waiting to just hear back on something is frustrating. I hear your feedback on this, and I agree that it's something we could do better. For my part, I'll do my best to make sure that we keep you up to date on the things we're looking into.
We understand that not all feedback we're going to see will be positive. That comes with the territory for any game. We aren't here to silence negative feedback or criticism. As long as it doesn't veer into toxicity or rude behavior, we won't close or remove a conversation. We do have Rules & Guidelines that we need to enforce here, but the point of those isn't to stifle anyone. Constructive criticism is welcome.
I have seen some cases where people have been going after each other a bit on these boards. There's no need to personally attack anyone, regardless of if they are EA staff or a fellow member of the community. Disagreements are going to happen, but we just ask that you be respectful of your fellow College Football fans. If we continue to see this we may have to remove posts or lock threads, which is something we'd rather not do. As a great thinker once said, "be excellent to each other."
Thank you once again for taking the time to read my post, and for visiting the forums. We'll be here reading your posts and dropping by your threads, so keep the feedback coming.
