You'll be waiting at least another year for this game to come on PC. Porting any completed game from PS5/Xbox to PC, or Switch, or any other platform, is not nearly as easy or simple as changing a file extension and clicking a few buttons. PC, in particular, is a challenging environment to port because it requires a different level of testing and continuous support. Developers need to understand how different hardware configurations or non-game software updates could impact memory usage or system performance, in a way that is more streamlined on console releases. Plus, there's a large majority of PC gamers that aren't based in North America. So a college game obviously won't do as good on PC as it would on consoles. Roughly 80-90% of a AAA's player base is mainly console.

The problem is that they started development back in 2021, when the PC version of Madden was still Gen 8. I'd love to know if it was an upfront decision by the top brass to blow off PC to launch Gen 9-only (I mean, that's a starting assumption for EA Sports when there's no competition or overwhelming market pressure, right?) or if staying in sync with Madden got squeezed out of the project schedule. Either way, the result was passing the Gen 9-on-PC tech debt around like private equity destroying your favorite stores and restaurants.
So I guess the *real* question is: Does EA plan on releasing College Football on PC in the future? Or will this be like NHL, never getting a PC version because the goalposts keep moving year after year after year?
