EA, you guys REALLY need to answer the questions as to why you’re not releasing College Football 25 on PC. It’s 2024, so there’s no technical excuse as to why it’s not coming out on pc, which means there’s another reason.
What is it? Remember, you’re excluding thousands of fans that have waited for YEARS to get this game back. If you weren’t going to release it on pc, then there should’ve been a notice WELL before release dates were announced.
Don't know where you've been but they made us all aware at least a year ago that it would be current-gen console exclusive.
As for why it's not on PC (as a PC player who'd rather play on PC...), probably because it's the first college football game in 10 years and they focused on making it as foundationally sound as possible at the expense of splitting their team across multiple platforms of code. Same reason why it's only partially playable cross-platform. PC is NOT easy to develop a game for--don't let the one man devs on Steam fool you--and this would've been their first attempt at putting the college game on PC. If they botched it, woo boy would we let them know about it.
Second, more nefarious reason is probably that they saw what mileage we could get on PC with an emulator and mods and they want to protect future sales of subsequent games. In which case maybe don't bank on there ever being a PC CFB game.

PC is not hard to develop for. It just takes a little more resources. It's not all that different to developing for different consoles. A console is just a weak PC. And no... the "code" is not all that different.

I think the fan base is more confused with the issues they say considering EA makes Madden and Madden is available on PC. Just on that note alone is the anger. People who switched away from console and put big money into gaming pc's do not want to have to turn around and buy a new console just for one game. which means sales go down.
- DANGERGOOSE12 years agoSeasoned Ace@mdizzleman048887 EA is probably betting on enough people buying consoles just for this game. I see a new post in the CFB facebook group I'm in every day with someone claiming he is doing this. Unfortunately I think AAA sports devs largely snub PC because they figure they can badger most people to getting it on console. NBA 2k gives PC the PS4/XB1 version of their game even. But back to CFB, I also suspect the guy above is correct: they saw what the community did with an emulator and a few mods to keep NCAA 14 alive. They're probably afraid of releasing a PC version and then people mod it and don't feel the need to buy next year's version.

while I agree as a PC player, I already knew they'd do this and bought a PS5. Only $300 on Marketplace. Anyway, it aint "just one game" bc GTA VI is going to do the extact same thing this time next year , so, it's for 2 games really.
