- KWRussell1 year agoRising Traveler@OCEANBREATHES That’s not what Brown said. First of all, from his newsletter: “So let me preface this statement with this. No member of the EA Sports communication team has, either in a prepared statement or on deep background, confirmed any explanation for why the game is not being released on PC at launch. I have asked, and I will likely continue to ask, but officially, I have no response.”
After that, Brown says that he asked around and got the usual “Gee, porting to PC is so hard!” narrative with nothing else to back up Tiburon in particular. Nothing specific about modding.
But the silence is our real answer. They don’t think they should dignify us with a response. Can we get a legit reason why its not releasing on PC? I have been an EA Pro subscriber since the beginning and now I will probably cancel just for the fact your company is leaving a group of people out of your game. A lot of us pay for your services and to not be able to buy a game for whatever reason seems to be a failure on the company. I would really hate to unsubscribe to your EA pro but if thats what it takes to get to yall then so be it. Huge failure EA.

This has been discussed many times on the forums. The audience on PC for a College Football game does not out weigh consoles. It is also very expensive to make this game compatible with PCs. There have been some sources state that it may be 3-4 years before it comes out, but that is still a very slim chance.

They just might as well come out and say we want to keep consoles relevant. They know if they release for PC it will take a large consuming market form Sony and Microsoft.

Until this game comes out for PC, I will not buy another Madden!
Speak with your wallet, people!
too bad this is a college football forum
Is there any future plans for this to release on PC in the future? It's honestly absurd that the community who kept your last NCAA game alive (And even vastly improved upon it) will not be able to play this new game. Funny that some folks who even modded the last game and now are assisting in the creation of 25, will not get to play the game on the very system they made such iconic improvements. What a slap in the face.
