Please tell me Road to CFP isn't online head to head mode

I was excited to see them add Road to CFP as a battle royale type online mode when I thought it was in edition to the classic head to head mode but can't believe this is the only online head to head mode ( not counting CUT) . As someone who enjoys mostly online play the most this has been a real bummer.

3 Worst things about CFP:

- Can't change OFFENSIVE or Defensive playbook. Huge L

- 3 Minute quarters

- Not nearly enough incentive to use lower overall teams 

-If you go up big early and opponent quits or loses connection you don't get a win
