Can we please make sure create a player is in this game for offline dynasty as well. I’m confused that we can create a custom player in Road to Glory or even create a whole team in team builder but not be able to create a player in general for offline dynasty. Other than that….. great game but can we at least patch this in later or something if it’s not in at launch?
Will I be able to create a player? Then put that player on any school of my choosing and then transport them to dynasty mode?
From what I am hearing no. You can only create a player in Road to Glory and MAYBE TeamBuilder when ever it gets added in but there seems to not be a create a player option due to NIL. I’m hoping they patch it in the game later down the line because that was my favorite thing to do in these College Football games and it’s a massive loss. There has to be a way we can do it without EA getting sued.
This might be a deal breaker for me. Either update the game to have the players or allow the consumer to at least create the players missing.
Yeah I’m playing it right now and you can not create players outside of Road to Glory. You can’t edit real players at all. It’s tuff. Major loss but it’s still a great game. Maybe see if they add it with Team Builder. I hope to do cpu vs cpu in Dynasty again too. I’m weird like that.
Forget Team builder… put the create a player and recruit in… period. Biggest let down of all time. What an embarrassment, you go to the nth degree to make this game real and exciting and can’t make a normal highly desired feature such as create a player.
if this feature doesn’t get added asap. I won’t buy and I’m seeing where a lot of ppl won’t either.
Yeah it’s ruff for me as well. I’m looking to see if you can edit generic players once you lock them in but I agree. It’s due to NIL. The cost of having real players unfortunately
@Zackrey345 @No shouldn’t have anything to do with NIL. Creating non-existent ppl has no effect on that. Case in point- auto generated players. The logic doesn’t flow. It makes sense you can’t edit NIL players or create someone in the game that you’re not allowed to (easy software additions can block that). It’s just simply a failure on EA.

How do you find which players can be edited.
I was looking at QBs and sorted them by weakest rating. It seemed only the guy from ECU with a rating of 12 was editable. And you can't change the school.
I don't think I found anybody on USC that is Editable.
Very disappointed EA. Game is still good, but what kind of thinking goes on were you take off a basic feature that has been there for ever.
It actually does make sense. Say you want to create players/recruits in your dynasty to mimic your favorite team's ACTAUL recruiting class this year. Those are real people, who will end up being represented in the game, and will not be getting any compensation until/unless they opt-in to next year's game.
I am sure EA knows this is a feature everyone wants, but it is also a small part in a very large legal puzzle just to get this game released with actual players in it. Since they have a very good foundation for the game going into next year, perhaps they can devote more resources into the legal logistics of being able to make it work. NIL rules will change 50 more times between now and next July, so it is a constant moving target. Perhaps once players become employees of the school and are compensated that way rather than through just private NIL deals, EA can negotiate directly with the schools for "future" naming rights - though some of these kids don't sign their NLI with their schools until February, and by that time the season is over and a new game is coming out in 5 months.
I can understand the not being able to edit players. I struggle to understand why we can't create a player. I am pretty sure a good percentage of people create themselves for their favorite team.
A good percentage may just create themselves, but just like there was the large group of people creating rosters/classes in previous builds, if you give them the opportunity to make it realistic with real players, they will.
Things have simply evolved from a legal standpoint since 2014 - these kids' Names, Images and Likenesses are theirs and they are entitled to be compensated. In the current state of things, they are unable to be compensated until they opt-in to this game (assuming they are on an FBS roster heading into next season and have the ability to opt-in).
@jcm1515 @What your saying doesn't make any sense for offline mode. Disable the ability to push rosters, players, playbooks, etc to the community. Just ensure it’s for offline. But it also doesn’t flow with your logic of making next years recruits on this years game. Once they are in college they will be in the game for that years game and following. They will be compensated etc. your logic doesn’t flow, and it’s not helpful. EA messed up big time!!!
Online or offline, kids' Names, Images and Likenesses are being used in a commercial capacity. It has nothing to do with sharing rosters or pushing to the community, it is simply USING a kid's name without their approval. 10-11 years ago, this wasn't an issue but now it is - your beef is with the legalities surrounding the issue, not EA. Perhaps you have better lawyers to argue the case.
Again, timing wise, many of these kids will not sign their NLI to their schools until February of next year at which time they would have the opportunity to opt-in to the next year's game. If EA were to allow custom players starting now, that would be nearly 7 months of kids having their NIL used without compensation. Perhaps between now and the next game, EA will work something out legally/logistically with the schools and future players to allow this - for example, after they opt-in, they get a bit of extra compensation based on the possibility their NIL was used in a previous iteration of the game. I can guarantee that the next "Arch Manning" coming out of high school would find a way to sue if his NIL was used in a game prior to his authorization, whereas 3* Johnny Johnson probably would think it's cool and wouldn't care - it only takes one big lawsuit to jack things up. Just look at all the former NCAA players getting retroactive NIL compensation from the recent court case.
Agreed. One of the best things about this was at least in the old Nc’s being able to edit players to create yourself and friends
pick a crappy team and watch your freshmen bring them to a ranked team

I am unbelievably disappointed that I can't create a player and put them on the team of my choice. It is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. This is 2025, not 1995. Come on EA. This is the biggest let down ever. Don't allow up to edit the players that are already in the game, I am 100% fine with that. The fact that I can't create prospects and myself on my own gaming system is wild. Ban the ability to share created rosters That should solve whatever you guys are scared of. If this isn't fixed by 2026, I will not buy next years game. Get this resolved now. It's sad enough that I can't export my draft class. This is very disappointing.
I am glad that I didnt rush to pre-order the game. Unless a bunch of the missing players opt in (dont know exactly who they are yet), I wont plan on buying. Might reconsider if at least each school has a represantative starting 22.
I feel you. It’s definitely a massive let down and I hope EA see this and patch it in sooner than later. It’s still a pretty good game but it’s definitely not the same without player creation that’s for sure. And I get NIL but there is no reason EA should get sued for a fictional character that I create in my own home on my console. Especially in OFFLINE Dynasty but that’s why they did it. Being careful at the moment.
