Re: Heisman difficulty

Honestly they really need to work on pursuit angles but aside from that on Heisman a few things that can help but defense will still be difficult at times as the CPU is going to get some cheese some broken tackles higher completion etc.

-Dont just stick to your base formations, 4-3-5. Nickel etc use some of the Nickel Wide, Over Under formations etc.

-Don't just sit in coverage bring some pressure.

-Utilize your Defensive adjustments, pinching line, coverage shells etc,

-Look through your depth chart and see if players can be utilized better in other positions big DEs as Pass Rush DTs, OLB as DEs, CBs as safeties and vice versa

-Really make sure you time your tackles as best as possible and if you man a LB or safety you don't abandon your zone responsibility on passing plays.

@Ketz120 Yeah, I tried to mix it up a lot but didn't do many pre play adjustments. Their RB did have his fair share of broken tackles haha!

I timed *most* tackles well but I feel the hit stick and the square button are just not that good. They almost just fall down and just running into them sometimes feels like the safer option.

Defense just feels extremely hard haha! On PS2 I always felt I had a good handle on defense. I just don't feel comfortable with any defensive structure or plays in this game yet. Their QB also just seemed so quick to recognize when a receiver would leave a zone or when any DB got burned on a drag.

I'm not complaining about the difficulty, I like it! It is a bit frustrating that they're THAT perfect though haha! Was hoping for at least 1 or 2 turnovers. I did have a couple opportunities to win. Just made a couple mistakes that costed me.

You'll need to run more nickel and dime on these newer ea football games. As the user, you don't get much margin for error on the highest difficulty. The ai tackling will take some getting used to if you haven't played Madden on the current gen. You need to really try to stop runs before they get started. So know the opponents strengths. Use run blitzes in obvious running situations. It is a Madden reskin, they just increased the players speed /speed of the action. That means in the 4th quarter the CPU gets extremely difficult because Madden games don't allow blowouts unless you're lucky 1 or 2 times. But the CPU breaking tackles and making last second cuts is just what the game does on the highest difficulty to keep the scores close.

Like a lot in Madden AI defenders are basically useless 90 percent of the time. You basically have to click on and make the tackles most of the time.
