RTG Redshirt issue

When I’m doing a road to glory I will hop into the games even as a backup and never touch the field. Which would be fine cause you can just red shirt but even though I have yet to play an actual down the game says I have, messing up my ability to redshirt. Like I hopped into 5 games then decided to go look at the stats and it said I played 5 games with 40 downs played and I never touched the field and with it being over 4 games I didn't get the chance to redshirt. Was wondering if this is just a glitch or does anyone else have this issue?
