Scripted Games??

Has anyone noticed what feels like scripted moments in games??.. for example I play on All-American in my offline dynasty with Rutgers, I’m no pro at the game but I know how to play smart, and in my 2nd year I have been dominant with a run heavy offense. I was able to blow out both OSU and Michigan in their stadiums and was undefeated with 1 game left against 6-4 Tenn at Nyland stadium. I was up 14-0 with 2 mins till halftime when they scored a regular drive, then my RB fumbled his first carry they get ball and throw a 1 play TD on a steak beating my cover 3 to tie it up. I go to halftime tied and they get ball and first play they throw a post against my cover 3 and the WR catches the ball and immediately gets hit by safety (not hit stick) bounces off and scored 83 yards for TD. Kickoff to me and my returner fumbles they pick it up score and I just went from up 14-0 to down 28-14 in literally 3 mins of game time it just felt like the game forced them to take the lead so I would have to make a comeback to win… I ended up losing which is fine with me I just wish it felt more authentic rather than what felt like a scripted event that I had no control over especially when I wasn’t playing aggressive, I can understand if I was playing super aggressive and they made me pay for it but I play rather conservative on offense and defense. Was just curious if anyone experienced anything similar.

  • I can tell within 5 minutes of playing if I'm going to have fun, or this particular game has been deemed by the computer as a loss.

  • Yep it is obvious the game is scripted. The old NCAA and Madden games

were also, just not as obvious.  This game is more an adventure\RPG than a simulation.

  • @MattyIce3256 I made a similar post. I played the same RTG game 8-9 times straight. Each time it played out the exact same way.
Go ahead big. Run out of play changes. coach calls nothing but run plays in the 4th vs blitzes. If I save them, i get the same playcall twice and an RPO. Can't audible to a pass. We fumble 1-3 times from RB running too many times. We blow a 2 score lead.
  • The game definitely seems to trigger  a "catch up mode" for CPU when you get up by 2 scores.

WRs smoke DBs, HBs get more wiggle than Shakira and Defensive angles become horrendous.  On offense WRs drop passes oline can't block.  I think it's intended to simulate a team realizing they need to dig deep before they lose morale or something but it's over the top catch up right now.

Also weird I find that when I play against much better teams my team performs better and even when I lose it feels reasonable.  Right now when I play against a bad team on the road with a half empty stadium it feels like I'm on the road at one of the powerhouses.  Why is it harder to play against easier teams?

  • @MattyIce3256 It is 110% scripted. The CPU does mind-bending, physics-altering things on the field, like stumbling and tumbleweeding and morphing through tackles on a 4th and 11 because it's already been pre-determined that they are getting a 1st down.

It's garbage. The game is literally garbage.
  • @MattyIce3256 I just went into a game in dynasty with CPU D set to 0 and my offense set to 100. I was up 35-14 going into the 4th with 8 minutes left. lost 38-35.
