@aenima6969 Agreed. Especially when the screen to set up the dynasty has an option for allowing ratings editing and the options are allow all users, commissioner only, or off.
@8lr31kgu1q8f Seconded 100%. Unfortunately I saw the screenshot of dynasty setup options with commissioner option to enable ratings editing and bought the game and foolishly started it before waiting to see what people online were saying. That's on me but I'm still not happy. What exactly are the "ratings" that I'm supposed to be able to edit using that setting. I'm hoping enough people make threads on here and tweet to their account as well as the main devs that they patch it in like they did with Madden 25 (2014).

I hope they see this -
Don’t get me wrong, server issues will improve and people will find a lot of other good stuff they like… but this to me is a pretty big oversight.
Hopefully this is just mid-2010s Madden where we’re being shuffled through the RPG elements initially until they patch. I can understand the RPG “Hey we worked hard on this, so please try it out”, or even “Hey we made an agreement with NIL players not to allow edits to their ratings unless from us”…
I just don’t understand that we can’t edit ratings of generated players in Dynasty. I can only think of two reasons 1) the first above regarding the RPG or 2) deliberate or accidental oversight.
- DANGERGOOSE12 years agoSeasoned Veteran@trengel I'm not sure if it's deliberate or accidental. You can edit fake generic players from the main menu just not from inside dynasty. I would lean towards deliberate and then their plan is to introduce it in CFB 26 or 27 as this great new feature to keep sales up. Hopefully enough people make a fuss that they are pressured to patch it into this game.
The RPG stuff is all well and good but at least give people the option. If the option is there to turn edits on then those who wish to edit can do so, and those who don't want to can turn that off or just choose not to.- antpboy122 years agoSeasoned Veteran
Exactly give the customers what they want. If I go to McDonald's for a Big Mac I expect a that not a cheeseburger. I didn't pay for a cheeseburger.

I wouldn't even consider buying another version if they can't go to work and improve this game. I'm not getting on the 12 month carousel when EA has constantly shown they can patch and update games every month.
This is their business model and I ain't doing business with this greedy company as long as they keep up this mess. You should put together a game that at least can go 2 months being able to play the way your marketing team said the game would play. But the dev team actually did the marketing with the deep dives! They make this seem like rocket science when we know it isn't.

Perhaps they want to create an environment within the mode that makes recruiting relevant and important to you success? I mean, if you can just sign a bunch of 1 start recruits then edit their ratings to make them all like 5 star recruits it kind of defeats the purpose of one of the biggest features of dynasty mode. Just a guess here, but I'd assume that's part of their logic behind the decision.

Still, it's supposed to be a sandbox mode.this is far from with no customization at all.

That’s why I think it’s great that there is a feature at the start up screen for dynasty where you can choose whether or not to edit player ratings. If you want recruiting To be relevant and highly competitive, just keep that option off.
some of us just like to play around with our players and experiment with the ratings system.

I dont think its by design because in the commissioner settings for dynasty there is a field that says "Player Edit Permission" and the description reads "This setting controls whether or not a league member can edit player ratings on their team." That would lead one to believe that we were supposed to be able to edit if we want, atleast the ratings and another post confirmed the numbers at some point. Names, ok I get it its too close. I think, being in development myself, they just had to push out what they had because the due date was here and got everything working as best they could and will correct/add the rest in. From working ncaa 14 i know there is a bunch of stuff that can throw off random thing when you start messing with the tables.
