One of the best features of Madden is in franchise mode to be able to customize all your players on your team as well as customize the draft class. It is the main reason I buy It over other football games out there. One of the best features of the last college football game released in 2013 was in dynasty mote the ability to customize your team including adjusting the ratings for any player on your team. Also the ability to create your own recruits before generating a recruiting class was so cool. Because of those features tat game is still being played today even after a decade as past since it's release. Why were these features that made that version so popular even after all these years not included? I was so excited when it was announced that EA was bringing the college football franchise back But the lack of these features in the game make it a big disappointment. Unless they fix this I don't really want to play it any more. Probably just going to go back to playing NCAA Football 2014. Game play is older but the in game features on dynasty are still better.
I know it's offline mode so doesn't matter to others but I don't get why you would want to edit player ratings? Makes the Recruitment process completely redundant.
Why spend hours immersing yourself in the game to only just edit the players yourself?
May as well just quickly get a tonne of 1 stars to commit and make them what you want and when you do win the bowl games what satisfaction is there?
I'm in the minority I suppose so ignore I'm just a grumpy old man lol!

I think the big issue is that EA has consistently marketed this as a game for the community that kept it alive - whether it be through NCAA 14 / College Football Revamped, or just general hope it would come out again. My hope was that EA / This Dev Team would be more responsive at the very least. Doing nothing is the worst communication method.
They have brought back a good deal of items, and I’m genuinely glad to have a game back BUT anyone setting aside their unbridled excitement has to see there are things that need fixing.
This is an easy fix that is within their power to do, which is why it infuriates folks. The community is going to be hard, but it’s because we know it can be better and it isn’t. Editing at least gives players a bit more freedom, which is a sign of good faith.

Bumping thread until Ea gives a response….
If they are worried about NIL issues than lock player names and hometowns, and let us how they look, equipment, jersey numbers, and ratings. I can live with this. This way when Jabari Smith who is white with grey hair and beard at Quarterback wearing number 99 can be adjusted to make sense. There is no reason this can’t be done to avoid any kind of legal issues.

If they can’t do it, it literally takes a minute to explain why they can’t. It’s the lack of urgency or even interest in providing clarity to people who’ve spent 70 (and some even 100) bucks for something that potentially makes or breaks a game for them.
I don’t even care that most of the offline modes feel bare bones in terms of immersion, this was an important feature for me. And the fact that not one person who worked on the game can even provide clarification on this…. It’s insulting.
- btmnyj8112 years agoSeasoned Veteran@fightmilk1888 No offense to you, but if someone wants to spend the ridiculous amount of money it takes to buy a game these days, I think the least we should be able to do is decide exactly how we wanna play it.

I know the game officially released last Friday so I am hoping we get some sort of communication on this issue soon. The ability to edit players should be allowed for offline dynasty mode.
- fightmilk18882 years agoSeasoned Newcomer@btmnyj811 fair enough like you said each to their. I just don't see what sense of achievement you could gain by winning something with a small school knowing you made your HB 99oa so he could run for 300 yards a game.

@fightmilk1888 The thing is there is an option already in the settings that says you can turn editing ratings on and off. I understand your point that this feature isn’t important and seems silly to you, but the reality is there are tons of posts here and other threads with people that want the ability to do it for whatever reason. I share your mindset of never understanding why people will say these features shouldn’t be in the game cause it’s “cheesing” when they literally don’t have to ever once use it lol. It’s offline. The freedom should be there to do as anyone pleases. That’s all we are saying.

with all dur respect, I logged in just to call you a fool. first of all, its my game i should be able to play however i please. i paid 100 dollars for this. people can also go the other way and make players bad to really rebuild a team if they want. its the freedom to do these things that make a great game. you can stay riding EAs meat tho its cause of people like you EA can keep feeding us subpar products and you can keep buying them. this is an absolutey horrendous take, respectfully
