I hope they see this -
Don’t get me wrong, server issues will improve and people will find a lot of other good stuff they like… but this to me is a pretty big oversight.
Hopefully this is just mid-2010s Madden where we’re being shuffled through the RPG elements initially until they patch. I can understand the RPG “Hey we worked hard on this, so please try it out”, or even “Hey we made an agreement with NIL players not to allow edits to their ratings unless from us”…
I just don’t understand that we can’t edit ratings of generated players in Dynasty. I can only think of two reasons 1) the first above regarding the RPG or 2) deliberate or accidental oversight.

Perhaps they want to create an environment within the mode that makes recruiting relevant and important to you success? I mean, if you can just sign a bunch of 1 start recruits then edit their ratings to make them all like 5 star recruits it kind of defeats the purpose of one of the biggest features of dynasty mode. Just a guess here, but I'd assume that's part of their logic behind the decision.

Still, it's supposed to be a sandbox mode.this is far from with no customization at all.

That’s why I think it’s great that there is a feature at the start up screen for dynasty where you can choose whether or not to edit player ratings. If you want recruiting To be relevant and highly competitive, just keep that option off.
some of us just like to play around with our players and experiment with the ratings system.

I dont think its by design because in the commissioner settings for dynasty there is a field that says "Player Edit Permission" and the description reads "This setting controls whether or not a league member can edit player ratings on their team." That would lead one to believe that we were supposed to be able to edit if we want, atleast the ratings and another post confirmed the numbers at some point. Names, ok I get it its too close. I think, being in development myself, they just had to push out what they had because the due date was here and got everything working as best they could and will correct/add the rest in. From working ncaa 14 i know there is a bunch of stuff that can throw off random thing when you start messing with the tables.

Feel like that is flawed logic. Leave the environment up to the consumer. If someone wants to take a one star program and jack all the player non-nil players up to 99. Let them.
- jfeev5082 years agoSeasoned Hotshot@petro1319 The challenge is what you make it as a player. The real reason player editing is important is based on dynasty longetitivity and correction. When I see 3 and 4 QBs in recruiting classes with 95 speed I want to correct that, when i see multiple RBs with numbers in the 80s or WRs with numbers in the 90s or 70s or the fact that the base roster has some players at the same position with the same number (there are 2 WRs on South Carolina with #19) or I see a school with 6 QBs and 5 are true freshman and at least 2 could play another position; I would really like to be able to do that. In Madden I have the ability to change any players position, name, Ht, Wt, ratings, traits, development trait and even their appearance.
If the college players have been paid for their likeness what does it matter what I do with their ratings once I've paid for the game. Don't you think some of these same players would like the ability to make their virtual avatar a 99 and go to town against their rivals exactly how a random person wants to create themselves, without the guard rails of RTG and do the same in dynasty mode. What about the people who don't like the rating systems that sports game dev teams often use and want to create greater separation between teams?
I guess it's all to each their own. Personally I feel like I wasted money on a game I was really excited to see return and I'm ultimately let down with the product in its current state.- ca1f54b13d73d20f2 years agoRising Rookie
The most aggravating part is the silence from EA. It is blatant. At least tell us if it is in the works of getting corrected. This game has almost no replay ability without editing of non-nil players or recruits. Max XP on coaches is bad too.

I think no comment is the comment. I believe it was the 1st Madden 25 or Madden 14 that had the no editing player equipment or something like that and the community quickly revolted. They made a statement pretty quickly stating that they would be fixing it, at least I think they did. When sim stats are a mess in Madden (not that they still aren't to this day), they typically make a statement saying they're aware and working on it. For whatever reason this hasn't gotten the same response or attention. I don't think it's a concern for them.
Madden had a crippling bug for years where offline franchises would just crash after a certain amount of seasons. Ot took the community doing a bunch of testing to figure out what it was and this occurred in multiple releases. I want to be optimistic but I don't know that this will get fixed. If it does we might have already crowned a new National Champ by then.
