@trengel I hear you man. I'm a big sports fan and I'm big on the under the hood stuff when it comes to sports titles.
I would rather decent gameplay with a robust franchise mode, systems within the mode that function correctly or options that allow me to correct what I think is wrong in "my little sports world" that I'm simulating. So when I'm locked into a system where I can't effect the rushing stats in my dynasty because the tools aren't there to allow me to it, that really bothers me. When I look at Madden for over a decade (if not longer) not finding a way to code it's game to allow for receiving backs to have a higher volume of receptions in simmed games, or the #2 RB/Power back not just being a short yardage option that almost always averages less than 4ypc, or find a way to tier the production of Running QBs based off of their raw ability (no reason why a QB can average 5-6ypc or more in their career but the games sim engine immediately drops that down to 3-4ypc), I don't see how you can have a company that has been development these games like 35 years, get these things so wrong and not even speak to why they are wrong or omitted.
I know the publishers of NBA 2K are terrible when it comes to the online modes with the microtransactions (or really any of their games that have online modes) but I at least feel like the options and depth of the MyNBA mode allows me to kind of make the league my own and it does that better than any of the sports games that I have played. This is my personal opinion and again I'm speaking strictly about the offline, single player franchise mode.
The launch of this game has been a disaster in my opinion. I'm all for people having different opinions about the game, enjoying it and tolerating the many issues it has; what I don't like is the fact that some of them act like we are wrong for simply expecting the game to function properly. Or do a better job at replicating a CFB season/ multiple seasons.

@jfeev508 Tremendously well said bud - NBA 2K definitely is the Holy Grail when it comes to single player dynasty sandbox. It keeps me buying every year because I know it’ll be solid and a fun customizable experience. They do add tiny things every year to make it better… like when they added whole staff hiring, and quick editing… EA is (and might not ever) be close to them.
