Coaching Carousel - Explained

Hi everyone,

I wanted to come and post this because it seems there’s still enough confusion out there about this. After 3 online dynasties my friends and I have cracked the code on how job offers work in the coaching carousel, so I figured I would share. 

Schools can only offer jobs to coaches who have set their ‘Pipeline’ in their coaching profile to one of that specific schools 10 ‘preset’ pipelines. For example, if you started a dynasty as West Virginia and you thought it would be a good idea to just have West Virginia be your coaching pipeline, you basically have no chance of getting an elite job offer because that’s not a top pipeline for any of the good programs. Ever. (check Reddit for posts - you can find lists of every schools pipelines so you can choose one that has potential jobs you may want to - but you cannot change it so you would have to start a new dynasty)

To anyone at EA who may read this:

I understand you can’t rework the entire thing at this point in the cycle, but I do have a request on a way to make it more user friendly and a better experience for online dynasty players. Just as you did when the game released, allow us to change our coaching pipelines in the ‘Edit Coach’ screen. This would allow for 2 crucial things to happen. One, coaches who have no interest in leaving their current job could switch their pipeline to something more obscure, thus removing them from job offers for that cycle and allowing the jobs to be spread out among users. As of now, the highest level coaches get every good offer in the cycle and those jobs never pass to other, just as deserving coaches. Two, it would allow coaches trying to move up the ranks to set their pipeline to schools who may have a coach on the hot seat as a way of “applying” for that opening before the carousel starts.
