Defense only options, offense ai broken

I started playing defense only on dynasty to switch it up and when i watch my offense move down the field it seems 80% of the time they are within field goal range they do not kick it. The logic of the game makes no sense at all and is extremely infuriating when you return the punt to their 20 and let the offense take over to somehow end up defending at the 50 with no points from the last drive???

this happens so often and is so unrealistic making the game unplayable from the defense only option

Im losing games 3-0 or 6-0 when my team is 91 overal vs an 80 overall team consistently

I get 4-5 punt returns to my own 30-40 why is my 91 overall offense not able to score a field goal against a 85 or lower defense when they are set ip in field goal range. I have played 4 seasons of this and am done with the game now

this game is unplayable using defense only option.
