Dynasty deep dive questions..

Super impressed with the level of care they put into the dynasty.. I didn't think they'd go to the lengths they did, that being said...

1. What exactly does the tactician do? Recruiter (recruits) motivator (developer) tactician? Is he able to see blitz or know when a pass or run is coming?

2. Is there any balance to school's pipelines? Can we see what pipelines have boosted position groups? Personally I think in the future, as a team improves or they recruit outside of the area more, then pipelines should develop... if there is no way to improve/ change pipleines, it would be cool to see teams like tOSU which recruits nationally have a smaller pull but more pipelines where a team like Kent State has 1-2 pipelines but the level of pull is stronger giving them something to balance things out...

3. Does arena size have a huge impact on it being a tough place to play? Starting with a small team in a small arena, will I ever be able to have a top 25 toughest place to play? I see Michigan is a bit low on the rankings so I'm hoping the size is not the biggest factor.

4. We've been given the top 25 but I think many people plan to start a dynasty with a bad team.. Can we start to get an idea of the worst teams and their report cards? Having some grades be unchangeable makes sense (area/ academics) but it would be cool to see what those are rated for a lot of these bad schools to get an idea of where I'd like to coach. It would also be cool to one day be able to improve these grades. Didn't joe Pa invest in the student library? Maybe I'd like to do the same at my party school.. I don't want a quick 4 year turn Georgia Southern into a perennial powerhouse but I would like to eventually get them to be on par in every way to Georgia by year 20ish if I'm dominating all the other users in my 32 team dynasty! (Probably won't be the case, but this would be great for whoever is the best of the bunch if we make rules that have us sticking to small schools)

5. Not so much a question but.. I see that we can't edit how our assistant coaches develop (if we are HC) which makes sense.. but it would be nice to have some way to suggest how they develop.. or maybe it being a dynasty option to control each of the 3 coaches and build each one out.. it goes w/o saying that having multiple users on a team is also something that could eventually be a cool feature but none of it is something I'm super pressed over.

  • @rsandersr47 I had the same thoughts about point #2

And they do a ratings release with madden, I wonder if they are planning on doing the same thing with CFB25
  • @rsandersr47 Your 3rd point is also a question I have. What good is a small school building up if we can never get a new stadium or be "tough place to play" based on size.
  • Guy with a hockey avatar calling football stadiums "arenas" is perfect lol.

    1. Fair to assume the tactician archetype will involve on-field buffs, yes.

2.This was actually the biggest concern I had. People seem to believe that pipelines will be static in this game, which would be a disaster for long-term playability. If I'm playing as UNLV and luck into a handful of kids from Texas (like UNLV has actually done), then I should get a pipeline there. By no means the same level I get in Nevada or Cali or Hawaii, but at least a Lvl 1. Meanwhile if I'm Miami and just refuse to recruit south Florida and I fall below a threshold of local players, I should absolutely lose influence (level) in the area. The old games at least got that very explicit aspect correct and I fear it's being taken away in this game.

    3. It's always been about home record and win streak. I had Sam Boyd ranked the toughest place to play be it in 2006 or NCAA 14. You could play in an abandoned parking lot (incidentally this is what Sam Boyd was) but if nobody can beat you there, then it stands to reason it's a "Tough place to play". In any case, you won't see EA putting hard limits on any school's potential because that would peeve off the school in question.

    4. Most people have a pretty good idea who the bad schools are. To my last point, if EA could make every team the same rating they would just to appease everyone, but putting the figurative Bottom 10 on blast is far beyond what EA is willing to do to a school that graciously gave EA their blessing to recreate them. It takes 20 seconds of scrolling the Play Now screen to get a good idea who the lowest rated schools are. (Hint: just go to C-USA)

@AquaOrenjiHahaha tbh I WAS a big college football fan, but around the time the game discontinued and I deployed the first time I just started watching hockey. I didn't even realized I called them that. I watched a football game the other day and actually thought it was weird seeing numbers on the front of the uniform.

With #1 I just dunno how much they can really add I guess. Players already have a lot of the abilities that I could see them giving a tactician coach. Seems like something that could be ignored..

I didn't think of 4 being a bad thing haha but I can see why that would look bad. I suppose I was more concerned with the report card as far as campus atmosphere and academics and the diff pitches. I'd also be interested in seeing the pipelines but I can wait haha! I'll be heading to Hawaii the next couple of weeks so my mind can focus on other things until the game officially releases!

does anyone know if all 134 teams will be in dynasty

I believe all have accepted and will be represented in the game.  Not all players have accepted and I can't remember if the service academies were able to have their players added.
