Dynasty Wish List For CFB 26

First of all, I want to say that I was fairly impressed with this game mode and the updates that have been pushed out throughout the cycle. I have hardly even touched madden this year. Yes, there were and are still some issues, but this game has been a 10/10 for me, especially since we haven't had one for a decade. Here is my wish list for CFB 26's Dynasty Mode.

Coaches

  • Coaching Levels:
    • I think it would be awesome to have an option to choose a starting level, not saying start at the cap, but maybe give the user 20-50 points to start their career off with. That being said, I also think the level cap should be higher than 50, maybe 75-100? I understand that one coach cannot be a master at everything but increasing the level cap at least grants us with a bit more to work with. I currently have a solo carousel dynasty and I am starting year 10. I started off as an OC and slowly worked my way to HC. This past offseason, my coach reached level 48 and I just now unlocked CEO. I get needing to save points, but it's almost not even worth getting CEO when it costs 30 to unlock (after winning 2 Natties)  and then an additional 18 points for each perk. I think increasing the levels to 100 would allow users to unlock more skill portions of the tree, but they still would not be able to get good at everything. 
  • Coaching Staffs:
    • If we start a dynasty as an HC, let us choose our OC and DC at the beginning as well. Also, when it comes to coaching changes, allow us to see what perks they have unlocked in the trees during the "interview" process. Just seeing the trees doesn't provide enough information. I hired a former head coach as my offensive coordinator that had high recruiting and tactician trees, only to find out he was a defensive minded guy. I missed out on a year of development for my offense.
    • I know this is a reach, but having position coaches and even a STS Coordinator would be great as well!
    • Training staff and weights coach
      • These would be two great positions to add. One for injury prevention and recovery and one for offseason development. (more on these later)
  • Coaching Carousel:
    • In my opinion, this is the area that needs the most work. This might also be a hot take. Good coordinators on winning teams do not get hired away enough. I have a pretty good stretch of winning conference titles and bowl games, and it took my coordinators 5 years to be poached by another team. They were already pretty highly rated coaches when I got them who had other opportunities to be HC's somewhere else before they accepted to be my OC and DC. That should be a factor when the next hiring cycle comes around. 
    • Alma Matter should mean something. If your alma matter is looking for a coaching candidate, and you are a good coach, why don't they offer you the job? I have tried this with a bunch of different dynasty runs, and I have never gotten the offer, even after I had great years and they were terrible. I know, the easy thing to do is to choose them as your team at the beginning, but what's the fun in that?
    • Coordinator Promotions: If a teams, HC is hired away or leaves for the NFL, I haven't seen too many instances where one of the coordinators is hired to be the next HC of that program. This would pair well with the position coaches. Say the OC is hired as the HC, then you could promote the QB coach to the OC spot. 
  • Coaches Records:
    • The win/loss totals, should not count for years coaches were coordinators.
  • Coach Contracts:
    • The contract screen only shows the most recent contract. But it should show all of your accomplishments throughout your career. (more on this later).

Recruiting/Transfers/School Grades

  • Scholarship Offers:
    • Biggest thing for my current dynasty is guys committing midseason without me offering a scholarship. This might be a bug that started after the last update. But it sucks having spots taken up when you haven't offered a scholarship.
  • Visits:
    • Can we increase the visit limit from 4 per week? I'm not saying it should be unlimited, but 4 visits a week is not super realistic. Maybe even 6 would be great.
    • Competitive Visits. I think this needs to be tuned a little bit. Sure you don't want to have 2 QBs visiting the same week, but not being able to have 2 WRs, or DEs the same week doesn't make a ton of sense to me. Imagine two WRs on a visit with a QB. They would be talking about what it would be like to play with one another and the weapons they would bring to the table. Or two DEs visiting talking about how they would be the next pass rushing duo. 
  • Dynamic Deal Breakers:
    • I've heard that this might be coming, but a 5 star QB who is forced to sit might want to transfer out at some point so they could play. Even if playing time wasn't a deal breaker at first, it would be another obstacle to face when building a team. Once your team get good enough, it's rare, that you see players transfer out, even if you have 3-4 top guys ahead of them. Also, what if a small town kid gets recruited and goes far away from home and gets homesick after a year?
  • Transfers:
    • I think we should see more transfers when there is a coaching change. Players follow coaches around college football. If the HC or Coordinator leave either for a new job (or are fired)) then some players should enter the portal to either follow them to the new school (Coach Cignetti with IU) or leave for a new school (Thieneman from Purdue to Oregon).
  • All-Star Game or HS Stats
    • Add a high school all-star game. Maybe we can't play it but we get some stats for the top player that were in that game.
    • Give us high school stats.
  • School Grades: 
    • Overall, this is fine as is, but some of the stagnant school grades should change over time. I think all should at minimum be a year-to-year change.
    • Stadiums also change over time. If a team gets really good, it would be cool to see some stadium size and grade increases.
      • This goes more with Teambuilder, but there needs to be some generic stadium designs that users can choose from. Maybe 5 options for Small (10,000-20,000) Medium (20,000-50,000), Large (50,000-70,000) and XL (70,000-100,000+) Stadiums.

Offseason and Player Development

  • Offseason Development:
    • Injured players do not lose time to the injury through the offseason, this needs to be fixed first and foremost
    • The offseason development could use a little overhaul. Wish there was an easier way to see the upgraded skills that matter without scrolling through each and every attribute. 
    • It is very rare that a player in real life does not improve (even if it's just a little). Too many players do not improve at all. 
  • Spring Game:
    • Let us play a spring game with our guys to see position battles. Set it up like the preseason games in Madden where each quarter, different guys are in so we can see what have.
  • Cutting/Encouraging Transfers
    • There are players who you encourage to transfer who simply disappear from the game, please fix.
    • When on the encourage transfer stage, there is no option to look at the player cards. You have to look at all the player cards during the position change, and player progression stage otherwise it's locked out. This seems like it could be a simple button option like it is from the other menus.
  • Player Progression:
    •  I do like how the players upgrade themselves when they earn the skill points, but I feel like it the not balanced between attributes and abilities. 
    • Also, all abilities should be able to be upgraded. 

Regular Season and Scheduling

  • Allow us to choose some neutral site games. 
  • Maybe implement the game plan and focus player system like Madden has.
  • Coach firing and interim coaches during the regular season would be a cool touch.
  • Story Lines
    • The story line system is pretty boring and needs an overhaul
    • Give us storylines of the top national and local recruits. 

Injuries

  • I don't think there is enough severe injuries for the user team during the regular season. I have had a handful of injuries lasting multiple weeks through 9 seasons of my solo dynasty. Meanwhile, other teams are riddled with severe injuries. The injury slider seems to only adjust the frequency of injuries, not severity. Maybe add another slider?
  • Adding a training staff and weights coach could also have an effect on this. Better staff, fewer injuries.
  • When a player does have a severe injury, the time does not change going through the offseason.

Awards

  • Overall, I think the awards are fine. But you cannot see them on the player stats screen. There is an awards tab, but they are always blank.
  • Trophy room. Just in general this needs to be added. One for your overall profile, and other for your specific dynasty.
  • You should be able to go back and see the previous award winners. 
  • There should be a screen that shows your coach's accomplishments at each school he was at and what position they held.
