You should not have to have internet to actually play offline. However, updates and patches will require an internet connection.
Yeah you are correct 💯 on not having to play offline.
Only need for updates would be if you played week by week but of course if a glitch or additional changes updating is crucial.
initially, yes you do. you need to download the game and updates. after that, if you have an xbox and you set your machine to Home, then no. no internet should be necessary. only would be necessary to play online and online updates.
