Let Small Schools Improve Everything!

Hello EA,

I just got the game and have started up a new Dynasty and there is something that remains in the game from the last installment - almost ten years ago - that still irritates me today.

Academics - Can't be improved by user actions

Campus Lifestyle - Can't be improved by user actions

Why the heck not? Why is there always going to be a cap on these for my school? This is really disappointing and makes no logical sense either. These things aren't set in stone in real life. Schools can make investments and prioritize improvements on these things in real life, so it is just not fun that they cannot be improved over time while I play my dynasty mode.

With the intro being ALL big schools, I was already starting to get nervous that the small schools were going to get shafted in this game (just like they are in real life) but it will be a lot less fun if I simply have artificial barriers to improving my school in all areas.

I don't mind that my school starts in a bad spot in certain areas, so long as I have the ability to improve them. Just hard locking them is awful design.

There are things they can do to improve academics. Personally I think players should just have an academic score and teams should improve in academics by having a roster with a higher academic score.

The lifestyle one is also odd as I know a handful of party schools on here have that low.. seems only based on the city.

I do think schools should be able to improve on everything and also have a fair share of pipelines. The top schools having far more pipelines makes sense but if some small schools improve after 10 years and routinely get guys from an area those pipelines SHOULD improve.

If NOTHING else, let players edit pipelines and static team grades..

    Just going to reiterate this.

I was really hoping the game would allow for fun things like, for example, stadium expansion.

But at the very least, there should be NO "static" elements of "My School". Players should have the ability to improve every element of their school of choice in Dynasty Mode.

  • @nocoolnamejim what you want them to do? Add a Board of Trustees and Provost simulator? And who cares, I play with Texas state and never cared that it says C+ academics. It is trivial and doesn't affect recruiting at all from my experience. Although I do thing they are wrong on campus experience, Texas State is a party school, the experience should be higher rated lol

There really is not a way to improve these without significant fiscal investment and as such it isn’t going to change. Regardless there are ways through recruiting mechanisms to shift the focus from these areas. This is the challenge of the game of recruiting to overcome these things. Just my opinion, I could be wrong
