Play Style should not be stat based
I get why it is, but it probably shouldn't be. Consider this: a Pass Protect LG decided he didn't like my playing style because I gave up too many sacks. But my style isn't to take sacks. The problem is I need better linemen to protect my passer, which is why I'm trying to recruit him. Similarly, a Man to Man Corner wants me to get interceptions, but again my team isn't great and isn't getting a lot of these, not for lack of trying. And it's not my "style" to not get interceptions. Every team want's turnovers.
So play style should look at things like playbook used, and frequency of plays called. A Pass Protect lineman should identify how often we pass. Receiving Running Backs at how often RBs are targeted, not their total catches. Do we call more Man coverage or Zone coverage? Do I blitz a lot with linebackers, or drop them in coverage? Receivers may like a spread playbook over am option run, etc.
This may just be my opinion, but I don't think my inability to be good should be my considered my playing style.
