Player's ratings dropped for no reason
Some of my best players overall dropped to low ratings for no reason at all I had a 89 Rb drop to a 66 and have a 82 rb drop to a 32

Exact same thing happened to me. Ruined the entire dynasty 4 seasons in
The drop in rating is due to the player tendencies being bugged after the update.
The best solution is the position change.
I literally changed every player on my roster to a different position, then back to their original position and in 95% of the cases, their overall went back and their tendency reset. In a few cases, however, the tendency was still different after the fact.
For example, I had a Pass Defender LOLB rated 76. The update changed him to a Run Stopper, and his rating plummeted to a 57. On position change day, I moved him to FS, Then back to LOLB and the game made him a Speed Rushing LOLB with a rating of 82. I just wanted my Pass Defender back, but I'll take the ratings bump. I think the game picks the best tendency for each player based on ratings and assigns that to them when you change positions.
The fact that we have to do this to make the game playable is, quite frankly, infuriating.

Happened to me this week too. My run stopper DTs are all low ranked speed rushers now and want to transfer because they are not getting enough sacks. Can’t change their positions since they are original players. I am going to wait for another title update before I play again. This is the last time I buy an ea game within the first two weeks of release. Will wait until months later when the game is complete and cheaper.
- @Canadeion can we only do the position changes in the off season? This just happened to me at the start of a season. Sucks to tank a year because of a bug.

If your players are real people you can't edit them at all. If they're prospects that were generated by the game you can edit their positions. It doesn't work for everyone. I could fix my RB but all my TE's and my LT can't be fixed by switching. I'm on year 4 so I can switch most of my players
