Protected Rivals Update?

So when are we going to get an update on protected rivals? Would be great to either get an explanation on what the dev team thinks protected rivalries are or when they think that feature will finally get fixed so we can make sure Oklahoma-Texas and Ohio State-Michigan happen every season. 

Really my biggest gripe with the game right now is custom conferences and Teambuilder.
