Re: Dynasty editing jersey numbers?? Please Address

Is it possible for EA to unlock the ability to change jersey numbers? I have no problem with not being able to change names or attributes, but when doing a dynasty there are certain schools that have jersey number rituals. Schools like LSU and Michigan are the first to come to mind.

@DaeDae8485 same. being able to change jersey numbers is definitely a must change.
Not being able to change attributes is a huge win in my book. Some commishes cheat TF out of the system in madden. If anything, if we cant change the ratings, at least give us the ability to upgrade them with the points they earn. That would be a fair trade off.
As far as non NIL players in the game go, you can change and rename them inside of dynasty. But it would be nice to edit their faces. Give us the same (maybe a smaller version) of the face selection screen in team builder.

@Mareec3 the reason we cannot edit a lot is because they are trying to prevent fans from creating players who opted out. There’s a chance people who opted out have a change of heart and decide they want to be in the game and will be added with a roster update.

@SgtSlugbug I saw it on one of the EA creator videos when they were discussing some of the stuff before the game was released.

  • I haven't started a Dynasty with a real team yet (I've been playing with a Team Builder team), but that's annoying to hear. I played with USC when I first got the game just to try them out, and the first thing I noticed was that a non-NIL player is their starting RB and is wearing #3. Since #3 is retired at USC, my first thought was that when I decide to start a Dynasty with them, I'll have to change that player's number.

I would suggest that maybe EA could just block the numbers that are retired by each school, similar to what NBA 2K does where you can't assign someone a number that is retired by that team, but there are instances in which the player who's number is retired gives permission to other players to wear their numbers. So yeah, over all I agree with everyone.

@DaeDae8485 yeah for sure. I completely get the NIL and opt outs. I just played a season with a transfer RB wearing 89 though. It looks ridiculous with some of the numbers. Not changing ratings and physical looks is fine with me. I just wish we could change the numbers.

@Mareec3 100%. Being able to change jersey numbers is what a lot of us want. I’m fine with them locking names so they can’t be edited.

yes they can unlock jersey numbers. its not like they have to add a tab or change anything on the interface. the slot is already there, its just grayed out. so its literally one line of code they have to change.

@SgtSlugbug That was daedae's way of telling you he hasn't heard anyone from EA say that was the reason.
