Recruiting Playing Style Enhancement 2026
Apologies if this has already been said.
I have to say I really like how Playing Style interacts with recruiting. In future iterations I hope the developers can make it more "multi factor" rating in the whether its a single weighted score or multiple factors are captured and displayed and then weighted.
For example if I'm Blocking TE maybe I care 30% about # of carries and 50% about # of rushing yards and 20% about TE receptions. Or maybe its an even split but the point is it could consider opportunity (carries and pass attempts) to execution (rushing performance). If it's too complex to do this in a single recruiting option it could become a 15th recruiting attribute. Playing Style Opportunity against Playing Style Performance. Then some positions like RBs/WRs/QBs may care more about getting opportunity even if the team they go too isn't historically effective. Others may only care about execution and others could care about both.
If calculating receptions by position is too difficult, pass attempts itseIf could be a reasonable replacement. It just seems this would be a little better instead of just 100% rushing yards like it is for TEs now. The concept of how your actual play style impacts recruiting and can lock you out of players is wonderful, I just don't love how simplistic it is in caring about a single stat line. DBs only caring about INTs is tough, especially for those who turn down the sliders to reduce exceedingly high volume of INTs.
I understand this isn't happening this year but could be a really nice enhancement to recruiting in the next iteration of the game.
