The whole coaching system in Dynasty needs work.Brief: six seasons in as OC for UL-Monroe, slowly building worst team in country.I have received a few offers in the offseasons, but what I've been hoping for is to be offered the HC job at the school I've been the OC.Traditionally, when a small school starts doing well for a few years, the HC leaves and the prime candidate to take his place is a coordinator already at the school.I'm in season six and the school has hired two new HCs without me getting an offer for the job.The game needs a function to 'apply' to a job. The work is already done - schools have requirements and the coaches have experience levels. Even when you go into the 'All Jobs' section, you can highlight any job and, at the bottom left, there is a 'Select' option. But when you press the button... nothing happens.The coaching carousel needs a BIG overhaul. Users should get offers often. Users should get offers at their own school if they're a coordinator. Users should be able to apply to jobs they want and the algorithm can accept or deny them.

@scouted1I have tried in 3 seperate dynasty to get to be a HC at Florida or WA after they have crumbled. I go in every year and force them to go 0-X, and FL is in the MAC and WA is in the Sun Belt and i cannot even get an offer, no matter how much i meet their playbook, archetype, etc. Right now I am in 2044, the Gators and the Huskies are both 2 Star schools now, and i cant get a HC offer.....

The not getting offers thing is a known bug.I've won three consecutive national titles and have zero offers.

Let the user pick from all the openings available. I’ve always found part of the fun is building a 1 star program to a 6 star, then leaving for another 1 star. But that doesn’t work if I only get offered 4 jobs, 3 of which are OCs, none at 1 stars.

I don't understand the logic behind the coaching offers. You spend 2 years to unlock the second level of recruiting. The only way to do this is to coach at a power 4 school . Once you finally get it unlocked, you don't ever get any small school offers. This game is fantastic, but they got lazy with coaching carousel. It doesn't make any sense. Why wouldn't Akron want to hire the DC at Georgia?

@Sgoforth5 yea, i don't think schools IRL are choosing candidates based on how often they're going to run smash conceptswhich is why i think the 'apply for the job' idea works. you get offers as normal but then you can approach a school and see if there's a match*LIGHTBULB*ok, here's my idea EAevery year, medical students graduate medical school and apply to residencies to train in their desired specialty. there are only so many spots for each residency and only so many residency programs, and a bunch of medical students wanting to work. how can you make it fair? enter the NRMP (National Residency Matching Program)every potential resident ranks the programs with whom they've interviewed from top to bottom (some people have short lists, some have long). then, every program ranks the potential residents they've interviewed from top to bottom. and they hit the 'run match' button.... and spits outwhat if you could select a few schools you want to be considered as coach and the system ranks the coaches based off levels and then the system spits out if you're accepted or not...just an idea

I don’t understand the lack of offers. I wanted to get an offer from UNC. I changed my coach settings to UNC’s playbooks and made UNC my alma mater. They didn’t offer me a contract. I played around with changing my playbooks and I got different offers. I don’t understand why that matters. If I’m a winning coach, does a school really care what offense or defense I run?!

@nocoolnamejim understood. i was mainly referring to not getting an offer to be the HC at the school i'm already coaching as OC. but hopefully they fix the whole system

I get offers but when I go to choose anything I am not able to change I click a team and nothing happens, you would think for a game that was pushed back a year and took a total of 3 to make they would at least have worked out most of the kinks, par for the course EA releasing a sub par game then having to make tons of bug fixes that probably won’t be 100% fixed and the game just turns into a cash grab

this is my favorite thing to do. i build the program until it's preseason number one, then leave at the end of that season

for this specific instance, i ended up taking a hc job at kent state and am just moving on

Coaching in general is very minimal. Starting with assistance coaches who you have NO interaction with, they just disappear, no way to persuade them to stay.
You should have an office where you can schedule visits with; Players to discuss game issues and school problems. Asst. coaches to talk about recruiting, next week game plan. Boosters to raise money for athletic facilities and educational facilities so you can raise prestige in those areas. School administrators to encourage support for the athletic programs for prestige boosts. Media to raise attention for the program. Visiting recruits to sell them on committing.
You should be able to be on the practice field to monitor, teach and encourage players and coaches.
These and MANY more things a real coach does yet sadly NONE are in the game.
