Sharing my thoughts on simulation stats and hopeful developers read this topic.
Simulation stats aren’t realistic, overall. The original poster pointed out that scoring is low compared to real life college football.
The following stats are incorrect when simulating a game on offline dynasty …
Team scoring
Rushing yards
Rushing attempts
Rushing average per attempt
QB rushing yards - QBs in certain systems should get 1000 yards rushing.
FB rushing yards - FB in option offenses (Army, Navy, Air Force) should get around 1000 yards rushing.
QB completion percentage seems a bit high. The amount of QBs with a high completion percentage is off.
QB passing yards, there should be a few QBs in air raid system that pass for around 5000 yards per year.
QB interceptions seems low. There should be more QBs with interceptions from 15 - 20 per season. Defensive interceptions is low as a result.
Tackles, tackles for loss, sacks, and defensive touchdowns are off as well.
Overall plays per game should be around 120 - 135 per simulated game
I want to break school and national statistical records in my dynasty. I don’t have time to play each game with 15 minute quarters. Being able to simulate, or super sim a game is important to me.
Finally, if a player has a monster breakout year. His overall rating should increase during the season and have a big jump at the end of the year (or during off season training). For example, a 77 overall QB that throws for 4500 yards, 50 TDs, and 10 interceptions should have a big ratings increase during the season. This QB should NOT come back at 78 overall next year because of a low development trait.
