Why would guys with different star ratings be rated the same be a problem? Not all five star rated players are good and not all two star rated players are bad. That's why you're scouting and finding gems and busts. There are future Hall of Famers who were two star recruits coming out of high school. There are four star recruits who played a year or two and dropped to FCS or out of football. I think that part is pretty realistic.
I get your point but at the same time that 2 star recruit was still a 2 star recruit when he hit the roster, he had to grow into a HOFer over time. In this case both guys were fully scouted and neither was a gem or bust and the 5 star guy had slightly better numbers on the scouting so I expected him to be slightly better starting off. But maybe he will advance much quicker than the 4 star guy, time will tell. Honestly out of all the issues that is just a minor thing that I could be wrong about. More important to me is why the heck guys are signing with me when I didnt offer them scholarships.

I don't mind them signing if you didn't offer since walk ons exist unless they're signing AND counting against your scholarship numbers. The part about players locking you out who have you first on your list is really dumb though. That's so contradictory and I've experienced it too. But there's been much bigger issues like how you can't really edit schedules if you have lots of users, people not being able to get in dynasties or start dynasties for days, people not being able to use playbooks vs each other, teambuilder down 90% of the time, etc. Literally game breaking bugs exist that would have been quickly visible with any amount of testing and/or are bugs that are also in Madden, which makes you think a) did they do any testing and b) did they build from Madden despite insisting they didn't?

The guys that sign with you even though you didnt offer a scholarship DO count against your roster numbers.
