So as you can see in the attached photo my 5 star, elite QB has 37 skill points... this is after winning the Heisman and winning the championship... oh AND after offseason training has passed... this is beyond unacceptable. In no world should this be ok. Or make sense. You take away our control to upgrade our own players then they dont upgrade on their own either?? Come on. I have multiple players that have a good amount of skill points that went unused after winning the championship and awardeds... oh also new freshman aren't on the position change list anymore.

@dalicocci Hey man I had this issue too! If you go to his ratings page on player profile does it show or say like undefined and looked glitched? If so switch his position on player edit to something else and then back to qb. That should fix it, when you advance to week 0 he should level up.

The game does it automatically. The problem here that I had is before the fix patch I changed my playbook and it changed the archetype of all my players which in turned tanked players overalls ECT. It also made some players an archetype that's not even in the game. All my QBs were listed as 'gunslingers' and lost all mental and physical abilities.This isn't a real archetype and if you look under the player card it just says undefined and my guy just kept on collecting experience, but had nothing to spend it on.What a game!

All my qbs are strongarm smh.. and most of the qbs in my dynasty all have a bunch of unused skill points so its not just my team. Weird. EA gotta fix this... arch manning started at a like 86 and ended an 86 too. Not even my team

Just so you know your not the only one. As you can see 41 skill points unused and his ratings are "glitched" out. He is an impact player. Like you he is a real player and you can't move his position.

Wait so are we supposed to be able to upgrade the players ourselves, or the game does it "automatically"

The game is supposed to automatically. The problem as you can see in our case is it's not.
