BND Cards can’t go in sets?

I recently got a pack of BND players from the Field Pass and specifically picked a 78 OVR to turn in to a set.

Why are these cards not eligible for sets?    Also, why is there nothing in game telling me that before I select a player that would be worth less to me in any other circumstance?!

  • I had a similar question answered previously. BND=Account Bound (I guess BND is supposed to be an abbreviation for “bound”).

BND cards, being tied to your account, means you can’t auction them or trade them in. All you can do is quick sell.

The logic behind this, don’t know. How you were supposed to divine that information, don’t know. Seems like Ultimate Team is pretty much a trial by fire experience, so if you haven’t been playing it in other EA games you will be a little lost at times.

Anyway, BND cards have a small “BND” on them. I have noticed there’s a different kind of card—I think with an NA, maybe?—which you can put in a set but can’t auction.

@GoldenBoy03 the logic from EA behind this was to make it impossible to move cards or coins from rewards from users farm accounts to their main account.
  • Bnd cards are dumb! I have a bunch of doubles that are bnd. They just sit there what am I supposed to do with them?? Can’t quick sell can’t trade. UHG!!!

  • The one and ONLY reason EA introduced this is because their level of greed is beyond what a normal person can comprehend.

It’s not enough for EA anymore to have made almost all cards untradeable, which makes the top rated cards very hard to achieve without spending money in their pack casino.

People know this and grind the game to get fodder for exchanging cards for better ones. EA’s ONLY goal with the NHL franchise is to sell packs, so every year they feel the need to make it a little bit harder to make progress in HUT without spending money. In many other business what they’re doing would be illegal, and without their monopoly they would be out of business in a few years, given how little value they provide their customers.

EA doesn’t care if you enjoy the game. EA cares ONLY about you spending money.

Never ever spend a penny on packs.

  • @Herkamer78 About the only use for BND cards that you don't need in your lineup anymore is to quicksell them for training points. There are packs in the store you can buy with Training points.
