3v3 Crossplay Ultimate team

I have an Xbox and my two teammates have PlayStation and for some reason we can’t run 3s anymore. As soon as we load into a game our game freezes on the loading screen. This happened in season 2 as well and it was because you couldn’t have certain players in your lineup. Is this the same problem or is it something else?
