Dynasty game crashing

at the is point i have started 3 different dynasties to see if it would work, but game crashes during Chris Fowler's opening speech to a game.  4-6 seconds in game crashes. 

i seem to be able to do everything else in game.  i just can't actually play. so kind of sucks.  anyone else?
