Also can they not add the option to change team in game like they used to before in the past? This will resolve my issue when playing by myself. Are they worried people who cheat? I mean common online will be blocked because can't let you. But what does it hurt if I just want to play offense only. then swap to other team then back and forth. This would fix the issue but still not fix when playing with family but I'd be happy with that. I'm the "new character" for both team so why does it hurt if I wanna swap between teams in game?

Nope, Like I said this only happens on couch "split Screen" co-op. Playing with family member and they got a huge sack with a few minutes left in the game which caused a fumble and they recovered huge play in the game but couldn't enjoy it because it went right back to the playbook not even giving them a chance to do the celebration stick. Not even a replay lol just back to choosing a play. If I was playing online this be fine but dang I was happy for them but we had to hit pause in the game and watch the replay which to me is very dumb. Also the playbook still does same thing for away team when picking the play just a blank grey screen.
See Madden 25 did it right! They have see thru background for playbook so you can still see what's going on.. And after you make a tackle there is a orange bar to celebrate if you choose to within that time and you also get much more Action Replays and! Even if it's a standard tackle they still show a bit of visual instead of going straight to a blank play book screen.
100% agree with you, H1ddenT! I always play my brother on couch co-op and the 2 player presentation is so frustrating. As soon as a play ends it immediately goes to the all black play select screen which covers all crowd, post-play cutscenes and replays. Totally removes any excitement or feeling that you're in the game. If there's a big play you can't even see it! The only replays you can see are for TDs and picks, nothing else. Like, why does it have to cut away from every play so quickly, and why does the opaque play select menu take up the entire screen? It shouldn't be hard to let post-play animations show (there's plenty of time on the play clock) and/or just make the play select screen smaller and transparent so you can see what's going on in the background. Madden does this right -- after the play they let it breathe for a few seconds so you can see the action on the field (and they show full screen replays of big plays!) and then it goes to the smaller transparent play select screen where you can see all the background of the game. It shouldn't be hard to fix this and would add so much more substance to couch co-op gameplay (and make it more like the 1 player experience). Hoping EA can fix this soon!!
I am having the same issue. I just wished they add switch teams back into the options during the game for all game modes.
Glad to see I'm not alone. Just be a nice feature for something already in the game and I know the creators should be glad we like to see the beauty of what they created.
