Play a Friend error "That Action could not be completed try again"

Every time the game starts we get a message saying a desync has occurred and we get kicked before kick off?  
Also, why can’t you use custom playbook against a random online?

• Which platform are you on?
• Are you getting an error message?
• Does this only happen in one game mode?
