Player cards showing 1 overall less in-game

I have multiple cards that show 1 higher in the main menu than they do in-game. 

for example, Ausberry shows as a 98 overall in the main Menu but only a 97 when showcased in game during the in game intro sequence. Same with 97 overall Kiser who shows 97 in the pause menu but 96 overall in-game. 

my assumption is that this is a just a bug on display. Hopefully it’s not a nuke of player accounts because that’s the type of thing that leads to class action lawsuits. 

please advise.
