Unable to set pass pro, Option to disguise coverage not in play call screen

Game play Issue

Since I download the game, I have been unable to set my past protection.  This has rendered the game completely unplayable bc Im getting blown up on half my passing plays. Specifically, when I press and hold L1, no play art appears and nothing happens to slide my protection towards a blitz. 

Another issue I’m having is that the option to disguise defensive coverage does not appear on my play calling screen. This is not user error as I’m playing on the same settings as everyone else in my dynasty, but I’m the only one who doesn’t have this option. 

I’m not sure what to do at this point, so I’m posting here in the hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance to anyone who can!
