Cut duos not working

Has anyone had a problem with loading into a squads cut game? I’ve tried to play with a buddy on two separate occasions now and it’ll cut to the loading screen and it just sits there? Most of the time we get paired with someone but it never loads on. I don’t care about this game other than to play with the fellas and I can’t even do that.
