Dealbreakers/AI Recruitment Logic in Dynasty Break The Game Mode
There is a gamemode breaking issue with the current AI team recruitment logic. As a result of a combination of AI recruiting logic, transfer portal, and (most of all) DEALBREAKERS; All non user controlled schools which are not in power 4 conferences experiences a significant drop in ratings due to being unable to fill sizeable portions of their roster and having them filled instead with walk ons who are anywhere from 40-60 overall.
In my dynasty save for example, I play as UCF and went to schedule our traditional rivals USF as a non conference game. Upon going to schedule them I notice their ratings went from all around 80 to barely above the 50s. I go to check other schools in mid major conferences such as the American, Mountain West, the present day PAC-12 and find that all of them have ratings no higher than 65 overall.
I test this with new dynasties while adjusting the transfer sliders to see if lowering or outright disabling the transfer portal would remedy the issue. Reducing the transfer frequency and max transferrable players helped to an extent, however the problem remained where the majority of incoming players recruited on non user controlled lower prestige teams were rated in the 50s and low 60s, indicating that they're walk ons generated after the AI failed to fill those respective roster spots. I conclude these issues are occurring due to the AI being unable to recruit players who have dealbreakers for things such as Conference Prestige, Team Prestige, Pro Potential and in turn only will sign for high prestige teams, even if their roster needs would imply little to no playing time for the new recruits.
in addition to that, with the transfer portal active, there are many cases of players transferring out of programs which do not have the pro potential dealbreaker met, but either transferring to programs (Sometimes even in their senior year) to only sit on the bench as the 3rd or 4th string or, even worse, not sign for any major program because their needs have already been met or rosters filled and then end up not signing for any schools.
This is a game mode breaking bug because it prevents players from being able to really enjoy the depth offered by a game mode like Dynasty, especially given the nature of college football where players at most will be available for 5 seasons (including the redshirt).
I've been a dynasty player since having an xbox 360 on NCAA 10 and my favorite experience and what brings me back every year is going as far as a decade and a half into a dynasty and experiencing the immersion of playing out an extensive coaching career which is an experience I believe this game intends to deliver; but this design issue makes that not possible beyond the 1st season.
Please review the recruitment logic for the soonest patch possible or there is no purpose in me continuing to play this game if I can't play beyond 1 season of dynasty with realistically balanced college programs.
