Dynasty: Off-season Playing Time
This is probably more of a suggestion but the logic is currently bad enough that I consider it a bug.
Some background. Just completed season 2 of a Florida Gators Dynasty. DJ Lagway, as expected, declared for the draft. I wasn't too concerned, as I had a true freshman 5 star quarterback on the roster that I redshirted. I used the freshman in 4 games to get a feel for him as he was expected to take over the program next season.
Well dynamic deal breakers had other plans for me. He went from a Conference Prestige deal breaker to Play Time deal breaker when advancing to the off-season. I understand dynamic deal breakers are a thing and fully respect it. Here's my issue...
Part 1 of my issue, DJ Lagway declared for the draft. There was no other decent competition for this redshirt freshman. This was his job to take. But let's assume maybe the player is upset because he expected to play more as a true freshman....fine, I could accept that, if that was truly the case, but I still find it silly his playing time was listed as a F when DJ Lagway had zero persuasion chance.
Part 2 of my issue, when advancing past players leaving, the following week is week 1 of off-season recruiting. At this time, all transfers are immediately removed from the roster (which I like); however, the game does NOT remove any Seniors or players entering the draft early. So, during this week 1 of off-season recruiting, it appears Lagway is still listed on the team and several transfer portal QBs aren't even interested in me because playing time is still listed as a F because they see Lagway on the roster. This really screwed me over and left me in a very tough place with my QB room. I like a challenge, but the playing time deal breaker is essentially broken. If players cannot take into consideration players leaving early, there at least needs to be a separate week in between players leaving early and off-season recruiting week 1, to allow time to remove ALL players leaving from the team from the roster, so playing time can appropriately update for transfer portal players.
So 1 of 2 asks here:
1, immediate playing time of the upcoming season should be taken into better consideration.
2, at minimum, I'd like to see all players removed from the roster before beginning off-season recruiting. Either A, remove them immediately after advancing past players leaving or B, if they need to stay for draft results logic, add a separate week solely for Draft Results, then advance again to get to off-season recruiting week 1. This would allow time for true playing time to be reflected as all exiting players would be gone from the roster.
