CFB 27 Wishlist

  • Position coaches- control only those players- similar to RTG but for coaches, recruit only that position; coordinators control their side of the ball, recruit that side, HC controls all and recruits every position
  • Using real footage from games for cheerleaders, crowd, mascots, sideline celebrations, etc
  • Custom music/audio for different situations
  • Real footage of campus/town/city
  • RTG- walk around campus, interact with “classes” and students/community- spend NIL money on things or maybe your NIL comes in the form of XP to upgrade your attributes
  • XP used as “salary” for coaches by schools, gives incentive to take an offer or choose to stay where you’re at
  • Replay classic games from history  and if you play in one it gets stored in your trophy room to look back at the stats and highlights
  • Coach mode- recruit/call plays during games/run practices/talk to media
  • Create a fan
  • Create a sign
  • Create a play
  • Create a rivalry and the trophy for it
  • Create new rivalries in dynasty over time
  • Create a conference (rebuild old conferences, i.e. SWC, Big East)
  • Team builder teams replace FCS schools in dynasty
  • Building a school into a powerhouse means more money which should mean improved academics, better stadium atmosphere, and should come with the ability to improve the stadium or rebuild it altogether
  • Take RTG player from Madden and become a coach for dynasty or franchise mode in either game
  • Custom schedule- make games home, away or pick a neutral site
  • Schedule- show strength of schedule when customizing and show how it changes throughout the year and make sure it influences bowl games/playoffs
  • Ability to make a list of what schools or areas (conferences or regions) you’re interested in coaching at for possible future offers so they know you’re interested or not beforehand
  • Show the commentators in the booth (the actual people not computerized)
  • Decide shell coverage on play call menu
  • Have to be at a certain level/rank to get “big school” job offers (at least 50/100)
  • Days leading up to gameday (strategy, practice, meetings, press conferences)
  • No one calls ECU the “purple pirates”
  • Know the weather before the game starts
  • Coach suggestions are constantly calling the same plays, this has to be better and should vary based on situations, matchups, score, time, everything. I’m constantly getting either inside handoff suggestions or a PA pass, even though my line isn’t great and it ends in a ton of sacks. If I’m down and it’s the two minute drill, why am I being suggested option plays and inside handoffs?
  • More than 10 seconds to call your defensive play/make adjustments when playing against the cpu
  • Forcing a win/loss ALWAYS results in multiple starters getting multiple week injuries
  • New update made every WR turn into prime Randy Moss, every deep ball gets caught even if D is in position
  • Coach suggestions should have conservative, aggressive and trick play columns and should automatically adjust with each different situation.
  • Logos on all gear and fans is all the same. Should utilize all of the schools different logos so it doesn’t look like everyone is wearing the same thing. For instance ECU is always just the school and crossbones logo. There should be the Pirate Nation logo, or things that just say ECU or East Carolina or Pirates, etc
  • O Line should still try to block when scrambling. They just stand there after the defenders have gotten past them
  • The game needs more backstory, RTG and dynasty. Build up anticipation throughout the week, right now it’s just recruit and play, recruit and play, there’s no life to it. Needs a radio station or tv show or something to build suspense and you should advance day by day through practices or different tasks. Dynasty should be RTG but in coach form. Possibility your players or theirs get injured at practice
  • Look at 06 and 14 for more ways to make RTG better as well as dynasty and just other game modes in general
  • Formation subs for the playbook you want to use not just for your school’s default playbook
  • Ability to gain mental abilities, not just improve whichever ones your guy has. You should notice a difference with your QB from the time he is a freshman (gets rattled on the road) compared to if you’re able to keep him through his senior season (confident, doesn’t get rattled, at least not as much if he was able to get playing time in his early years)
  • Had a qb from Utah throw a cross field 50 yd bomb (which would’ve actually traveled close to 70 yards). Aaron Rodgers is about the only guy that could throw that ball.
  • Dynamic attendance isn’t working, during a blowout it’s still a packed house deep in the fourth
  • If o line doesn’t have much experience together, more prone to mistakes, same with center and qb relationship
  • Still seeing players celebrate when a penalty is actually on them
  • Kickers celebrating PATs needs to go
  • Coordinator experience should be very different from HC. I’m the OC yet the team is still running “my” defensive philosophy. Shouldn’t they be running the DCs? And then what point are my coordinators strategy wise when I’m a HC except for their abilities?
  • Meet with players who risk of transfer meter is going up. The more you meet with them, the less likely they’ll transfer
  • Game should feel ALIVE, weekly recaps, in dynasty it should be RTG but for coach so manage relationships with players, coaches, the community, boosters, AD. If you’re a coordinator or not coaching where you want, coach out your contract and become a “free agent,” and have schools recruit you
  • Points throughout the week just like RTG but go day by day to manage practice, keep players grades in line, manage relationships, gameplan, etc
  • In supersim from one play to the next sometimes it switches which side of the field you’re going to
  • Trick play category on play call screen
  • Formation subs should be for what offense you’re running, not the default playbook for the school. What if coaches change? It should reflect that
  • Use ramble to update schools throughout dynasty (bigger stadium if successful or to create New Jerseys, logos, etc) to keep it fresh and stimulate passing of time
  • Protected opponents non-conference for individual schools Ga/Tech, USC/ND for instance
  • Supersim yardage is messed up. My team had an interception returned for 57 yards, already at minimum we should be at their 43. Then we had two 4 yd rushes, a pass for 23 yards, a pass for 17 yards and now it brings me in for a redzone opportunity and we’re at the 8 yard line. How long is this field? Why do we return it however far and then we have it back up a bunch (almost every time mind you).

  • Players should react quicker to scrambling QBs, currently they only go after them once they cross the LOS before that they just stand in place and by the time they react, it’s way too late
  • Actually meet with players to convince them not to transfer or leave for draft instead of the current “dice roll”
  • College gameday picks before going into games for the week, an actual halftime show
  • Quick subs on play call menu instead of at LOS
  • Decorate your coaches office, lots of different options, display team trophies, etc and that’s where you have meetings with players and coaches
  • Quick subs on play call screen instead of at LOS
  • Coach age - the older, the less XP they get for games but more for salary (based on previous coaching record) the older they are, the closer they are to retiring which could hurt in recruiting but help in player development
  • More custom options for Coach/edit face and facial features, add a hat to any head
  • When changing schools you should get credit for your old school’s recruiting class not the new one (that you had nothing to do with)
