To answer your question zero liability when it comes to the ai generated players. I would have to review the nil agreements with players if they could be edited or not. If not that’s poor contract writing on EAs part. Who the heck purchases a likeness and can do anything with it lol. I wrote a paper in pre law on this case against EA back in the day. It all had to do with EA making rosters themselves similar to players other than adding names. Court found them making profit without compensation and therefore awarded the suit. All that said don’t get your hopes up. The game coming to PC has nothing to do with liability unless it has to do with a poor agreement with real players. Again, that’s an easy fix when folks sign up for their likeness to be used in game. The fact that the current ai fake recruits can’t have their appearance edited from a black guy with a blonde beard tells me they have zero worry about giving dynasty players the sandbox the old games were. We have moved to a new age of gaming unfortunately that revolve around profit game modes such has cut. With a sell to PE in the process I see things going even further down this path as I have worked along side many PE entities and they do not care one bit about how they are perceived as long as the cash is coming in. Hope this helps with what to expect. Best bet is to continue to hold out on buying in anyway until EA sees a change in profits and is forced to give customers what we are requesting. Think madden years back when they went on a huge we hear you campaign after a big portion of franchise players boycotted the game. Sad it takes us doing that when there is countless threads on here with amazing additions to the game that the customer base is coming up with only to fall on deaf ears. Long winded, don’t count on any PC release not due to liability but due to they can’t even get the game to function on current platforms much less porting. Too much investment with to little return. Hope you and your family have a wonderful holidays!
