Just some notes. (Mainly Dynasty related)

Just a few notes for y’all. (No particular order, it’s just how I thought of them.) 

1. It’s really strange that in dynasty mode,  the penalty is automatically applied to those using manual progression. Why are you penalizing someone for playing the game? Seems like if there is going to be a penalty, it should be applied to those who are too lazy to update their players on their own. 

BTW  the ability to upgrade our own players how we like is sooo great! Thanks! Love giving us more user control! More of this please!!!

2. Having the ability to create our own plays would be a good addition. 
It’s like these plays have been nerfed. IE blockers seem to ignore certain players, routes seem to be run into the coverage instead of into space, that sort of thing. 

3. I would like the ability to create recruits as we have been able to in years past. This was always one of my favorite parts of the game. And with the updates to players and new abilities added, this seems like it would really be a fun addition. 

4. Having a longer off season with many more things to do would be nice. The offseason now feels very rushed. It would be cool to have training camps and things to more hone in on certain player development. Having the ability to break through the training barriers would be a great achievement. 

5. Having the ability to scout other teams more fully would be something I would enjoy. Perhaps add new assistant coaches with just this ability? Or have it be an unlock able achievement for assistant coaches now? If this could be worked into scouting recruits, that would be really cool too. 

5. The motivator coaching tree seems like it was made by someone who doesn’t want to play the game. Until the master motivator is able to be unlocked Only one of the unlockables interests me at all: tier 3 PUT IN THE WORK. The first are more about recruiting the than about motivation, and the rest are far too expensive for their worth.

6. I LOVE the addition of real coaches. 
But the Coach creator is still gawd awful. 
Last year there was only one head that looked remotely like me. And he was an islander! (I’m white) … that head isn’t even in this version of the game! lol 

That said, I appreciate that it has improved. 

Also, please turn off the coach cap for offline dynasty. The cap severely hampers the game enjoyment during offline play. I don’t want to be counting points like they’re calories in a Victoria Secret model’s tiny meal.
And then you should allow the commissioner of online dynasties to choose how high the level cap should be for their own dynasty. 

Another thing that would be fun would be to play as a coach for another team for a while to choose how I want his coaching trees to update. Then be allowed to hire that coach as an assistant  so I can take full advantage of the “BUNDLE DUSCOUNT” unlockable in the CEO.  (This would be moot if the level cap was turned off though. So please turn it off. It would make the game so much better)

7. All the games kinda morph together after a while. It would be good to find ways to make each game special in its own way. 
Having a longer introduction to games, and highlighting players and their stats would be great. 
Having a special senior send off for senior day would be nice too. Allowing each senior to have a chance to own the spotlight in someway would be poignant. 

8. I really like that passing interference isn’t so sensitive in this game. But it would be good if the receivers didn’t get hung up on defenders and just give up. 

9. Recruits in dynasty are quite homogenous. There doesn’t seem to ever be any standouts. All seem to have extremely similar stats. 
It would be better if there were certain special players hiding randomly. Especially in the lower ranks. Would be cool. 
But it would just be better overall to have more randomness throughout. 

10. Menus are very slow. Not smooth. I find myself punching buttons a few times before they react. 

11. A. Created playbooks are janky. We need to be able to order them how we like. So we don’t just randomly have Hail Mary right in front so we choose a deep ball when we’re just trying to skip through screens. As well as just making it nicer to engage with. 
Also, it’s frustrating that the kickoffs are separated and the number one option is the onside kick.
B. We need to be able to choose that playbook in dynasty as well. So that formation subs are relevant. 
C. Formation subs really need a kickoff option. It’s So incredibly frustrating that we aren’t able to control our team the way we want… and it’s really really bad when redshirts begin to be burned. 

12. I wish we could audible from kickoff to onside, and vice versa. I just habitually choose one, and am stuck with it unless I use a timeout. 

13. I wish there were just one set of audibles. Rather than whole sets each having their own. Especially on defense, I liked putting my skill players in goal line D when it’s a 3rd/4th and short in the middle of the field. (Calling a dime formation, but audibleing into goal line) 

14. I wish there were more “adjustments”. So it’s more like actual football. 

15. Depth charts need to be deeper. I have three tight end sets. A depth chart of three isn’t enough. 

I’m sure there will be more. But I hope you will take this as advice in gratitude. 
While I was incredibly disappointed in this new iteration, All in all, thanks guys, this is a pretty great game. Yes, I was heartbroken that the main two things we Dynasty players asked for over and over and over and over again (player creator and deletion of the coach cap) still weren’t in the game. But, If I hadn’t been playing this for so long, and this was the first year playing, I would be amazed.

  • Here are two more! 
    I hate, hate hate hate, that when playing as a D end, I am forced to move when offense plays option. Sooo annoying!  Also annoying that the defender is forced to fall for the juke, even when I myself am not. 

    And I wish that I could set the adjustments permanently, so they are automatically applied, and I don’t have to do it every time. 

  • I stopped reading after #1 because they literally give you an option to turn off the penalty for manual progression.

    Yes. I knew that. 
    I was commenting on the mentality that desires to punish players for playing their game.
