Persuasion chances

Does anyone know how the number of persuasion chances are calculated? I can’t seem to find a concrete answer on this, in an online dynasty I only had 2 chances to persuade players to stay while some people in my dynasty had upwards of 8. We all started with custom coaches, I didn’t know if it was a certain coach ability or if it was linked to other certain factors?
