Player and CPU Skill Sliders in Dynasty Mode

I have owned and played every version of NCSS Football.  This version is very frustrating.  No matter the settings on the sliders they seem to have little or no affect in Dynasty Mode.  I can hold my own in the first quarter but it seem like the CPU programming takes over to achieve a predetermined outcome by second quarter.  I have been able to go to the half tied but second half the CPU will blow the game away.  I play as NC State since I am an alumnus.  Have been trying to play Duke but cannot find any settings that will give me as a human a fair chance.  I play on Varsity mode for now. I have tried the extreme slider settings to advantage the player vs the CPU.  No real change in game play that I can see.  The sliders had significant affect in 2025.  I play on an Xbox 1X with max memory and storage.
