Why is running the ball mission impossible

I literally play on Varsity and it feels like I’m going up against the 2011 Bama defense. I shouldn’t rush for 40 yards a game and then be forced to throw and sweat bullets against the CPU ON VARSITY. Don’t even get me started on pass defense. CPU QB goes 28/30 ever game and yards after contact for CPU is so favored towards them it’s absurd. I understand on Heisman but Varsity should NOT be this difficult. I’m playing evenly matched opponents and barely beating them. For the first time ever Madden 26 may be better than NCAA/CFB and that’s sad! Game is going to die soon if title update doesn’t address these issues.

I'm total in agreement, when the CPU quarterback is consistently throwing above 90 % completions it is not realistic. I had one game where the CPU was 100 % completions and I was 5 for 26. Sacked like 6 times and hit while throwing probably 12 times. This was with equal teams and I was the home team. I may just stop playing until they update and hopefully fix this.  Game is not really fun anymore, especially in dynasty when the AI eventually makes offense impossible even if you change playbooks. It's like playing belichick every week and he's had 5 weeks to game plan for you. I'm in varsity level also btw .

As of right now you have to adjust to the sliders to enjoy the game. Default sliders were made by some nerd who knows nothing about football. Quality testing should have been way more thorough. Shame because they nailed CFB25 gameplay. It’s actually fun unlike this old madden clone garbage.

Definitely accurate. I've said it a couple times now, but they really need a full open Beta and to stop leaving the testing to a bunch of content creators two weeks before release. This is not hate toward the content creators, nor do I feel they do a terrible job or anything, but it's not enough time they get, and the game pretty much always comes out broken and it's the rest of the community that's left street sweeping this mess. Now we have another year where the cycle continues...all year is spent balancing the broken game and by the time it's done it's time for the new one.

I play Heisman, and so far I've found CPU QB ACC is best between 35 and 40. Even on Varsity, try starting there and adjust as necessary. Defense still sucks though, so you'll still get have those high acc games unfortunately...they just happen less often unless the QB has high level abilities. High level abilities like Madden's Dots or Deadeye abilities are just way too much when cpu lacks the human error in judgement. Madden at least you can control and change the abilities CPU gets when setting up a Franchise. CFB lacks that.
