Protected Rivalries and Schedule Advice.

So I am starting my 3rd dynasty because of this and I don't really know how to fix it. Everytime I set up divisions and protected rivalries it will mess up teams schedules. For example I changed the SEC to 9 games and set up divisions to protect rivalry games but now it took away all the SEC ACC last games of the season. Can anyone help me solve this problem?
