Are we really unpaid testers?

Hi EA Team,

I’d like to report a major issue in College Football 26 QB Road to Glory mode. It honestly feels like the devs have no idea what DPI (Defensive Pass Interference) or OPI (Offensive Pass Interference) are supposed to mean in the game.

Twenty yards downfield, my receivers are constantly being held up by corners — they get completely stopped mid-route, I throw a pick, and there’s never a flag. Meanwhile, my receivers are getting called for OPI even when they don’t even touch the defender.

I understand that sometimes the offense feels overpowered and sometimes the defense does — balance is always tricky. But come on, you’ve been working on this for years, and you’re supposed to be professional developers. At this point, you should be able to get the balance right, especially after you’ve already collected our money months ago.

This game has been out for four months now, and it still feels like it’s in testing phase. It’s frustrating and disappointing to see basic football rules not being respected in gameplay. Please fix this — it’s ruining what should be one of the best modes in the game.

Thanks

  • I also want to note on the balance issue, why is a team rated 60 overall AI controlled plays as if they are 99 overall not matter the difficulty. Like a 60 Wyoming shouldn't have 13 interceptions against a 96 overall QB and 98 overall WR. the blocking still sucks linemen don't stay on their blocks lie they would in real life its 2 seconds then sack or a one yard run gain unless your DDA EA decides its ok for the team that rated higher to be rated higher. I've experienced this on the freshmen setting all the to Heisman which that one is understandable but still not ideal the game does not exhibit real world behaviors
