ive stayed out this loop by just spamming man cover and jamming the hell out the guy i cover and i get saved by the lucky sack , but most of the time if you play tight man cover and you get the good or great cover score unless a huge play happens youll net a small gain if a small play happens or it will at least cancel each other out, not a great feeling but it saves you from getting benched
Yea, you can stay off the bench if your defense plays well like getting sacks. We aren't discussing when the defense plays well. We are talking about when your line is getting destroyed or your DBs on the other side of the field giving up massive passes. These get you benched and because your team isn't necessarily going to get better throughout the game, you get stuck in the loop. I also get "Bad Man Coverage" while still glued to my receiver.
yea i know what you mean that why sometimes i say i get saved by the lucky sack but if u stayed glued to your guy you can negate most small medium play negative points and ive had the bad man cover happen to me while i blanketed the guy perfectly but i think its something that bugs when the screen goes over to the guy who blew the cover and some how u get blamed for that man to man . i think the camera angle **bleep**s it up . thats the times ive noticed i get hit with bad man to man even though i know i was all over that guy.
I will agree when playing teams of equal or lesser overall, good coverage can produce 10 sacks a game which is a TINY bit crazy. But in my personal example, if you're VT playing against Georgia, it doesn't matter what you do. You're not playing most of the game and coach hates you. That's where I usually quit. I don't mind challenges but coaches don't just rip starters off the field if the whole team isn't playing well, especially if their starter is playing the best. For that reason, I feel RTG is unplayable. At least for defensive roles.
