I am playing challenges in Ultimate Team (on XBox), and in all my challenges, the game does not turn the ball over on downs. Instead, it goes to 5th down, and 6th down. If a 1st down doesn't happen after 6th down, then there is a turnover on downs. The CPU almost never punts. What am I missing here?
Sounds like Ranksgiving and/or Nightmares, which have mostly unstated made-up rules that you have to figure out challenge by challenge. Scoring also changes, including sometimes points for first downs while actually scoring gives the other side points. They're silly and often frustrating but doable and sometimes worth it in terms of packs. (There are a couple of others like that too, especially the various versions of the Tower -- which I find to be silly and frustrating and not worth it.)
Oh what a relief! I was getting so frustrated and thinking that my game was broken. It has to be that (Ranksgiving). Thank you a million.
When you're in the challenges for those, during a play hit the button to see the challenges (push the left analog stick in on controller). If you hit it 2 or 3 times (can't remember how many), it will tell you the rules of the challenge.
