Coach Suggestion Playbooks Show the Same Plays

When creating a custom playbook, the "Coach Suggestions" section in-game always present the same pool of plays, regardless of your star ratings/selections  in the "My Gameplan"  section in the custom playbook menu. 

Obviously, spending lots of time on creating a custom playbook with unique ratings for the coach suggestions, and then for it not to work is quite frustrating. Let me know if I can provide any more details! 

I've tried raising and lowering the adjustments, even going as far as having several plays at "100" or "5 stars" and the same 15 plays appear for each situation (1st down, 2 & long, etc.).,

    Update: this issue should be fixed. If you're still having any trouble with incorrect plays in your playbook, please let us know.

    For those of you who are still running into this, would you mind sharing a bit more info so we can pass it along? 

    • Which game modes is this happening in? Does it happen in one mode in particular, or is it any game mode where you're using a custom playbook? 
    • Which team(s) are you using when this happens?
    • If it's happening in Dynasty, what custom coach archetype are you using? 
    • Can you think of any other notable settings or customizations that you have enabled?

    NeonDonkeyKong89​ I have not seen an update on it myself. Does not mean there isnt one they just havent published an update yet. I will follow up on it but at the moment not seeing any info on this one.

    No, still having issues on my end. This is specifically happening with custom playbooks. No matter how high or low I rate my plays, I am continually getting the same 8-12 plays per every situation. There is no mix like there was in ‘25.

    -Every game mode I’ve tried. Dynasty. Online dynasty. Play now. You name it.

    -It happens on every team I’ve tried. Too many to list. 

    -I’ve used multiple and it happens on each of them. Situational strategist, flexible play caller, and others. 

    -Nope. Changed almost no settings. Nothing that would interact with this.

    Every game mode.

    Every team.

    Every archetype.

    Doesn’t matter what settings are used.

    In short yes, yes, yes, and yes. All game modes, all teams, all coach archetypes, and doesn't matter the settings. If it matters or helps at all It also doesn't work in Madden for the first time since it was introduced. Another community manager had responded to a thread similar to this and he acted like they were working on it. Your response doesn't seem like that's the case. We're approaching 2 months since release...

    It literally happens in every single mode.

    Setting doesn't matter.

    And cherry on top, it's happening in Madden 26 as well.

    Like everyone else, I've been experiencing this issue in every single game mode with every single team when using a custom playbook. It's happening with every single coach archetype, and specific settings don't matter.

    Honestly, it's extremely frustrating to purchase a game and have such a basic feature broken for nearly two months. This worked fine last year, what changed?
